Pironkova was serving superb from the beginning of the match, but Jelena had answer for every Pironkova's shot, and returned even better. At 2:2 in the first set, Jelena "ran away" by winning 4 consecutive games to close out the first set 6:4.
In the second set, the story was unfolding in the pretty much same direction. Once again Jelena won the set 6:2 closing out the match impressively 6:2, 6:2.
In the quarterfinals Jelena will play against Belgian and former world no.1 Justine Henin. This will be their first meeting since Justine's return to the tour in January and 10 meeting overall. Henin leads 9:0 in meetings with Jankovic. Has the time for JJ to beat Henin come? We'll see.
